Past Work - Scripts & Script Doctorings

I love writing, but struggle to find forums for feedback and promotion. A two-minute video gets more attention than a link to a block of text. But I do love it, and have resumed short scripts to practice flexing creatively. In addition, I habitually write "script doctorings" of various films that tickled me, and the occasional script adapting a pre-existing property.

Original Shorts Scripts

Since this blog does not host PDF's, I have included a link to a Google Drive folder with the files attached.

They are as follows:

"To Hold A Songbird"

A five-page drama short

--

The Hallway

A five-page action short

Adaptations

"Percy Jackson" Pilot

A thirteen-page script for a Percy Jackson pilot, Percy Jackson being an upcoming Disney+ series based on a very popular series of children's books. Since the episode format is unknown, I assumed they'd be between twenty and thirty minutes and that they'll release several at once from the outset as an erstwhile "pilot", so this script is only the first act of what a conventional pilot would include.

John Wick Prologue

A five-page action prologue based in the world of the John Wick movie franchise. Mainly trying to write an action sequence for this world that would fit in, hence the terse dialogue.

Doctorings

--

"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" Doctoring

This big-budget film bombed theatrically and critically despite cutting-edge talent in all departments. This attempted doctoring assumes the reader is familiar with the released version. If the film had had time or resources for more alterations before release, that's when this document would come in handy. But since it's already out, this is just a fun creative exercise.

"Dr Strange In The Multiverse of Madness" Doctoring

This big-budget film fell short of Marvel's high standards both theatrically and commercially. I asked, "what small changes could we make to bring this up to the Marvel standard?"

--

Thor: Love and Thunder" Doctoring

This just adds a two-page prologue to the existing film that would help the central villain's character arc land a little more effectively.
